Fabian Mayer

Fabian Mayer studied "Business Administration and Engineering: Mechanical Engineering" at RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and NTNU Trondheim, Norway. During his studies, Fabian focused on energy engineering and operations research. He graduated with his master's degree from RWTH Aachen University in 2018.

During his studies, Fabian investigated optimization methods for energy systems as a student research assistant. He deepened his research in his master’s thesis on robust and reliable optimization of distributed energy systems.

In 2019, Fabian joined the group of Professor André Bardow at the Institute of Technical Thermodynamics at RWTH Aachen University as a Ph.D. student. Since 2020, Fabian is a Ph.D. student at ETH Zürich and works for the Energy and Process Systems Engineering Group. Fabian's research focuses on the integrated process design of adsorption processes.
