Jens Patrick Metzger

Jens Metzger graduated as Bachelor in Process Engineering at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Mosbach in 2016, where he became passionate about granular materials. During his undergraduate studies, he was working at AZO (Osterburken, Germany), where he improved design guidelines for various technologies in solid material handling e.g. dense phase pneumatic conveying and material discharge from hoppers. After an exchange semester at Purdue University 2018, he received his Master of Science from the University of Stuttgart in 2019 for his experimental and simulative work on the resuspension of particles from solid surfaces via an impinging gas jet. In 2020, Jens joined Christoph Müller's research group at ETH Zurich as a PhD student. His current field of research is the investigation of granular phenomena such as fluidization and segregation.
